Vikram Goud, son of former minister Mukesh Goud is in news for all the wrong reasons. Vikram, who has been financing Telugu films for long, tried to replicate the plot of Trivikram’s cult movie ‘Athadu’ in real-life but it turned awry.

Just like Sayaji Shinde’s Siva Reddy, who plans assassination attempt on himself to evoke sympathy, Vikram toyed with the idea and thought that a shootout attempt on him would be his ticket to sympathy but it turned out to be a ticket to jail.

In the shooting incident that took place on July 28, like Sayaji Shinde in the film hires Mahesh Babu for assassination, Vikram too hired muscle men from Anantapur and paid them handsomely. The plan was to shoot at Vikram and left him injured.

The plan for sure worked for a few days, but as police managed to nab the attackers, they revealed the plot, which was nothing but a dot to dot scene from Sayaji Shinde and Mahesh Babu’s track in ‘Athadu’.

Apparently, Vikram has recruited four persons belonging to Anantapur to execute his plan and paid some money for this. Cops came to the conclusion that Vikram is both the victim and main-accused in the case.

With his arrest, it is prudent to recall the climax scene from the same film, where in Prakash Raj says to Kota Srinivasa Rao, “Siva Reddy chanipote meeru CM avutaru, champeste jailki veltaru. Ee china logic ela missayyaru.” In the current parlance, “Mee meeda hatya prayatnam jarigithe sympathy vastundi, mere aa prayatnam jaripiste jailki vellalsivastundi.”
