Just recently, the scion of Nandamuri family left director-producer Krish surprised, when he declined to take full remuneration for his role in ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ despite the film being a money-spinner.

“Usually, Balakrishna doesn’t take remuneration until the completion of the film and just works on an advance amount,” says a source, close to the family. When Krish went to give him a cheque for balance amount of Rs 5 crore, out of Rs 10 crore mutually-agreed remuneration, for historical epic drama, the actor refused to take it.

Balakrishna told him that since he has spent lavishly on the film, he would like to take a pay cut and leave some margin of profit for producer Krish. “It rarely happens it T-town, since some stars demand more money if a film is a big hit, but Balayya proved otherwise and kept welfare of the producer in mind and took a huge pay cut.

In fact, Balakrishna has taken some advance amount from producer C Kalyan for his 102nd film, but hasn’t taken any money from the producer of ‘Paaisa Vasool’ yet,’ adds the source.
