Nawazuddin along with co-star Bidita Bag and producer Asmith Kunder promotedthe upcoming film; the triowere hopeful to release it with fewer cuts.

Kunder said, “We are trying to get the cuts down and we are hopeful that we will get it.” Nawazuddin, who plays the role of a sharp shooter in the film said, “The character has an easy life and to portray this ease on the screen is difficult; it requires a lot of hard work.”

The film had another controversy surrounding it when actress Chitrangda Singh, who was signed to play the lead, walked out. Lager, Bengali actress Bidita Bag accepted the role.

Speaking about Chitrangda’s exit,the producer remarked, “There are always two sides to a story. We never know if she walked out or if she was removed. I want to keep it like that and not speak about it more than that.”

Bag, who plays Nawazuddin’s love interest in the film said, “I play a character of a shoemaker. I believe this is the first time any actress is portraying it. For research, I had to take inspiration from men as there is no film where a woman played that role.” The film is slated to release on August 25.
