2017 had been comparatively good for Telugu film industry. Leaving a few aside, audience accepted content oriented films more. Now, as 2018 stepped in, everyone is hoping that this year starts with a bang. Staying true that, over 10 films are releasing in the January month which consists of big ticket flicks and interesting projects.

Opening the box-office doors this year would be none other than the Power Star himself. Pawan’s ‘Agnyathavasi’ directed by his close pal Trivikram is the first release this year. It will be hitting the screens on 10th January banking on the Sankranti season. Next in the list is Balakrishna’s mass entertainer ‘Jai Simha’ which will be releasing on 12th January. On the same day, two dubbing films will be getting ready to entertain Telugu audience. Vikram’s ‘Sketch’ and Suriya’s ‘Gang’ are coming on 12th. Apart from that, Ravi Teja’s ‘Touch Chesi Choodu’ will be arriving on 13th January. Seems like a huge movie festival in the midst of Sankranti.

One week after their release, interesting projects such as ‘Adhugo’ directed by Ravi Babu and Adavi Sesh’s ‘Goodachari’ are releasing on 19th January. ‘Adhugo’ interestingly stars a pig in the main lead while Adavi Sesh will show off his writing skills once again in ‘Goodachari’ after ‘Kshanam’. Even Republic day weekend, 5 films are getting ready to lock horns. First in the list would be dubbed film ‘Rajaratham’ which contains Nirup Bhandari, Avantika Shetty, Aarya and Rana. It will be releasing on 25th January. Anushka’s much awaited project ‘Bhagmati’ is getting released on 26th January on the account of Republic day. On the same day, few small films like Sandeep Kishan’s ‘Manasuku Nachindi’, Jayaprada and Poorna starrer ‘Suvarna Sundari’ and Vishal’s ‘Abhimanyudu’ are getting released.
