After a long hiatus, Telugu audience get an opportunity to watch a decent and healthy romantic comedy. Surely, new-age director Mohana Krishna Indraganti is back in his elements in his latest offering by blending romance and comedy in equal measure.

The onscreen chemistry between Sudheer Babu and Aditi Rao Hydari stands out and Sudheer looks at ease in a lover boy role. Aditi Rao is a good mix of gorgeous looks and talent. After impressing in Hindi film ‘Padmavat’, she arrives in T-town with a bang with top-notch performance as a ‘star’. Veteran actor Naresh tickles the laughing bones with his dream to become an actor.

The tale of a boy-next-door (Sudheer Babu) who dislikes actors and eventually falls in love with a top star has its share of good moments to keep the audience engaged barring some slow-paced narration in second part. The director who showed his flair for comedy from films like ‘Ashta Chemma’ to 'Ami Tumi', has again come up with a comic-caper with loads of romance this time around. However, misunderstandings between lovers who part ways could have been worked upon by the director, to make their reunion more heart-warming.

Coming to the story, a top actress Sameera (Aditi Rao) comes to the residence of Vijay (Sudheer Babu) for a movie shoot as the house was hired as the location. Vijay doesn’t like stars as he believes them to be fake. Despite his loathsomeness towards the film fraternity, both of them gradually get attracted to each other when he begins to teach her Telugu. Vijay who has good command over Telugu language, awaits for his book of cartoons to be published but cupid strikes him.

How the boy-next-door impresses a glamourous actress realistically and genuinely is the core strength of the movie. Sudheer Babu has chosen a perfect lover boy role to break away from his action image and does a good job. Despite making her debut in T-town, Aditi impressed with a terrific performance and even her dubbing is decent enough. Her character is a mix of star `aura’ and simplicity and she scores on both the fronts. Other actors like Rahul Ramakrishna gets noticed, while Hari Teja fits the role and Tanikella and Pavitra do their bit with ease.

A romantic film, demands a good music to sustain the mood and momentum, composer Vivek Sagar’s lives up to it to some extent. The pre-release rumours that the film is a spoof on film industry, just ends with Rahul going through some spicy stuff on websites like ‘an actress wants it daily four times” and a few pot shots against commercial films and filmi dialogues. The director seems to understand the limitations and holds his horses, thus delivering a wholesome entertainer.
