Jyothika turns a fiery cop

The Tamil blockbuster ‘Naachiyaar,’ which is dubbed into Telugu as ‘Jhansi’ with Jyothika in the title role is all set to hit the screens in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on August 3.

Sensational director Bala, who dished out several blockbusters in his career like ‘Sethu’, ‘Shivaputhrudu’, ‘Nanda’ and ‘Vaade Veedu’ directed the movie, which is being released jointly by Koneru Kalpana and D Abhiram Ajay Kumar under the banners of Kalpana Chitra and Yashwant Movies. Jyothika will be seen in the role of a powerful police officer while Ilayaraja’s music is the highlight of the film. V G Prakash will be seen in another important role.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad a few days ago, one of the producers Koneru Kalpana said that she was extremely delighted to get the dubbing rights of the Tamil superhit ‘Naachiyaar,’ and sensational director Bala did a splendid job helming the project. The estimations on the Telugu version has skyrocketed and they were getting good offers from buyers and distributers, she added. She expressed the hope that the Telugu version would also turn out to be a blockbuster.
