Reigning star Naga Chaitanya will be essaying the role of a tough son-in-law in his upcoming film ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’. A couple of songs, released by the makers, received a good response from music listeners. Coming to Naga Chaitanya, he is actually stepping into the shoes of his father Nagarjuna who played similar kind of roles in ‘Allari Alludu’.
A source close to the unit says “It will be full-blown entertainer and bound to leave the audience in splits.” Earlier, Chai himself hinted that this film will be a Maruthi brand of comedy and ‘will entertain viewers onscreen’.
The upcoming family drama is helmed by Maruthi Dasari, who is known for films such as ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’ and ‘Mahanubhavudu’ and the hit combination of the scion of Akkineni family and Maruthi has triggered lot of hype in the film industry. The casting of Ramya Krishna as mother-in-law has given the film the much-needed hype, while pretty Anu Emmanuel plays her daughter. The film is set to hit the screens on August 31.
