Sharwanand, Chandu film on cards

Hotshot Sharwanand is reportedly in talks with his long-time friend and director Chandra Siddharth to do a tasteful entertainer in 2019.“Chandu is working on a script since he wants to make a tasteful commercial entertainer with Sharwanand keeping his growing star-status in mind, instead of an off-beat film,” says an industry source. 

Actually, the actor-director teamed up for a heart-wrenching saga ‘Andari Bandhuvayya’ which was a celebration of village life and simple human values. It drew huge critical acclaim and Sharwanand’s performance as a soft-spoken youngster was well-received. “Chandra Siddharth is known for his meaningful movies and wants to break away from it. Now, Sharwa is giving him an opportunity to explore a new genre that would strike a chord with masses and classes alike and prove Chandu as  a maker who can strike a balance between art and commerce,” the source adds. 

It is high time, director of ‘Aa Naluguru’ changed his path since his last few films like ‘Emo Gurram Eggaravachu’ and ‘Aatagadhara Siva’ turned out to be duds. “He established himself as a filmmaker with substance, but needs a commercial movie to regain his winning habit. He needs to re-invent himself to stay in the reckoning or else, it will be too late,” the source concludes.
