Talent powerhouse Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar join hands for the gut-wrenching tale of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film is titled Chhapaak and also stars Vikrant Massey opposite Padmaavat actress.
Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar just took to her social media profile and shared a little inside into the stroy. She wrote, “A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquashable human spirit. Elated to collaborate with Fox Star Studios on #Chhapaak @deepikapadukone @masseysahib @foxstarhindia”
Post marriage to Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika is all set to face the camera. Her next is a film based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal that will be directed by Meghna Gulzar of Raazi fame. The actress will also co-produce the film.
It is based on the heart-warming and gut-wrenching tale of acid victim survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Meghna divulged that the film will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi and that prosthetics tests were underway.
