Super Star Rajinikanth and Amy Jackosn teamed up for the science fiction thriller movie titled 2 Point O. Directed by Shankar, Lyca Productions bankrolled the particular project with a huge budget of around 550 crores.
The Telugu rights of the movie were sold for a whopping amount of 70 crore rupees. In spite of the successful run of the movie in both the Telugu states, the movie encountered losses because of selling the movie for high prices. The producers got benefitted but the buyers lost money.
The movie has made a share of Rs 50 Cr which is the highest ever collections for a Rajni's film in Telugu. The most surprising fact is that the Hindi version of the movie did well than the original Tamil version. The film's run ended in both the Telugu states successfully.
