Actor Ajay Devgn has appealed to the people to help beat plastic pollution as it has entered the food chain and affecting the marine life badly.

Singham actor Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter profile and wrote, “Plastic has entered the food chain. Up to 9 out of 10 seabirds, 1 in 3 sea turtles and more than 50% of whale and dolphin species have eaten plastic. Bon Appetit. #BeatPlasticPollution #RecyclePlastic”

This is not the first time Ajay Devgn has shown his Eco-friendly side; earlier in the week, he expressed his concern over plastic affecting marine life. He tweeted, "There are five trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans. That is five followed by 12 zeroes. It`s enough to circle the Earth over 400 times. Beat plastic pollution. Recycle plastic"

Plastic pollution is considered as one of the biggest challenges humanity is facing these days.

Ajay Devgn along with Kajol had put their weight behind Maharashtra government's initiative to ban plastic. The power couple of B-Town attended an exhibition that was held to make people aware of the hazards of using non-eco-friendly products.

The couple also shot for public service campaign earlier this month that will highlight the harmful effects of plastic on the environment.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn is currently busy with Total Dhamaal, De De Pyaar De, Turram Khan and Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior.
