Gully Boy features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The Zoya Akhtar directorial is loosely based on the lives of Mumbai's underground rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy.
The film sees Ranveer Singh essaying the role of a rapper from the slums of Mumbai. The recently released "Asli Hip Hop" has taken the internet by storm and people can't stop praising Ranveer Singh for his wonderful rapping skills.
'Gully Boy' also stars Kalki Koechlin, Ali Asgar, Parmeet Sethi and Pooja Gaur in main roles.
The film will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival before its release in India. The film is slated to hit the screens on 14 February 2019.
