Leading producer Shobu Yarlagadda who made history-making blockbuster ‘Bahubali’ franchise, has now reportedly shifted his focus on digital and web content. “More than feature films, Shobu would be developing content for various platforms for the next two years to expand brand equity of Arka Media Works besides making pots of money,” says an industry source.
The son-in-law of legendary director K Raghavendra Rao has been flooded with offers from Hindi, Telugu, Tamil digital channels for good and unique content. “Sobhu’s brand name is more than enough for them,” he adds. Arka Media has set up a swanky office to dish out content for various platforms.
“A creative team is scrutinising scripts from young filmmakers and would fund approved ones. Depending on the final output, the content could be given to varied digital platforms as well as web cinema in different languages. Almost creating content for future generations,” the source points out.
