Vijayawada: Two Minor Girls Raped Vijayawada: Two minor girls were raped in different incidents in Vijayawada and Guntur. The victim in Vijayawada is found as runaway, the victim in Guntur is differently abled and dumb. A minor girl, who ran away from home in Secunderabad, was allegedly raped by two youths and molested by another for nearly a month in Vijayawada. The shocking incident was revealed when police found the girl with a youth at Durga Ghat on the river Krishna two days ago.
The city police have taken four youths into custody. They were identified as G Madhav (21), K Mahesh (22) Sateesh and K Subramanyam (22). According to the sources the girl, who was studying in Class IX, ran away from home after her parents beat her. She hails from a poor family --her father is an auto driver and mother a domestic help. She came to Vijayawada by train and took shelter in the temple since November 3. There she met a man named Madhav, who works at a coconut shop near the temple.
He befriended and took her to a room and raped her for ten days. Later, she met another guy at the temple and went along with him to Eluru and Vishakapatnam. She returned to Vijayawada after 10days. On her return the locals found her moving around with another guy and informed the police.
The police sent her to a hospital for medical examination. The parents of the girl could not be contacted. Meanwhile the accused were booked under Nirbhaya Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Harassment Act. In the neighbouring Guntur district, a 16-year old girl was raped by an ex-serviceman at Chinamotlamudi village of Nagaram mandal on Monday evening. According to the information available, the girl, an orphan, was living with her sister.
On Monday evening, her sister went out after locking the main gate of the house. Having noticed that the girl was alone at home, a 50-year-old ex-service man entered the house and raped her. The victim’s sister, on her return, noticed the man in her house and the girl bleeding. She immediately alerted her neighbours who caught the accused and handed him over to the Nagaram police. The Repalle Inspector, Suryanarayana Reddy, is investigating the case.
