Guntur: Man hurls 14-day-old daughter to death

Guntur: A resident Satuluru village in Tenali mandal of this district, S K Omar, allegedly hurled his 14-day-old daughter to the ground killing her instantaneously, angry about the birth of a female.

The incident occurred at his in-law’s house, where his wife has been staying since the delivery. Omar got wild with his wife, after she decline to go with him, abandoning the newborn. He allegedly got drunk and in a fit of anger threw his daughter to the ground, resulting in her death. Neighbours who got to know about the tragic incident, gave Omar a sound thrashing, before handing him over to the police.
