Hyderabad: The West Zone police on Wednesday cracked the murder case of a techie, Chandrasekhar Goud, who was found dead at Anantagiri Hills near Vikarabad on Tuesday, through Facebook and nabbed three people.
According to police, the accused were identified as Arun Kumar Goud, Md Younus Pasha, Madhusudan and Shiva. The trio was nabbed with the help of the photographs of the body which the prime accused, Arun, shared with several people on his Facebook friends' list.
Police said that Arun bore a grudge against Chandrasekhar as the latter had allegedly harassed his sister, Sandhya, and was not giving alimony after the divorce. He hatched the murder plan and took support of the three to eliminate Chandrashekar and offered them Rs 6 lakh.
Based on Arun’s instructions, the trio forcibly entered the victim's house at Balkampet around 4.30 am on December 4 when he was alone and smothered him to death after knocking him unconscious with methanol. They later took the body to Vikarabad in a Tata Indica car (AP 31 TV 2081) and dumped it in the bushes at a secluded place, a police official of SR Nagar said.
Younus allegedly sent the victim’s photo through e-mail to Arun who posted it on Facebook so as to inform Sandhya. On being alerted, West Zone police led by DCP V Satyanarayana worked on the leads and detected the persons responsible for it. Goud’s decomposed body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.
