Under the Nirbhaya act, within the jurisdiction of Cyberabad, as many as 11,015 cases have been registered by now by the Madhapur police station alone in the year 2013.
National Crime Records Bureau in their report has revealed that 80% of the cases of sexual abuse and allied issues go unreported in India.
This causes a severe threat to the entire nation and its well being. So much hype was given to the Nirbhaya act. Most of the Indians thought it would pave a way for the prevention of the sexual abuses cases in India, drastically but the same had no palpable impact.
The educated elites have to come forward with their innovative ideas to prevent such untoward incidents. “Prevention is better than cure” is the most suitable dictum for the ongoing situation of women related issues in India.
