Engg students gang-rape Inter student

Hyderabad: An incident of gang-rape of a first-year Intermediate student in the city came to light on Monday night. She approached Vanasthalipuram police here and complained that she was gang-raped by two engineering students near Manneguda here on December 21. The police identified the accused as Sai Kiran and Mani Kiran and launched a manhunt for them.

They registered a case under the Nirbhaya Act. The victim said she was waiting at a bus stop, when the duo dragged her into bushes and drugged her before raping her. On late filing of complaint, she said she was threatened with acid attack. Later, she informed her parents who took her to the cops.
