Hyderabad: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the son of her house owner at Edi Bazaar in Madannapet on Wednesday, Madannapet police said. On Wednesday, the girl who stayed with her parents on the ground floor of a building, went to take bath when the accused M A Abid, 22, allegedly outraged her modesty, the police said.
The family members hesitated to make a police complaint for fear of social stigma and reprisal. After the relatives convinced them, the girl along with her parents made a complaint at the Madannapet police station on Saturday, the police added. Police registered the case and further investigation is underway.
