According to the sources, a police constable Santosh Kumar allegedly raped a womanon Monday. The victim has filed a case stating that Kumar forcibly entered their house, raped her and made a video of the entire act.
In her statement, it was also mentioned that Santosh Kumar also warned to send it to her husband, if she reports the matter to anyone. The police started an investigation based on the compliant registered with them.
The Superintendent of Police of the district, Mohit Gupta has ordered a departmental inquiry into the case. Gupta said that if necessary, the accused would be suspended.
According to the victim, she was introduced to Kumar during an election promotion some time back. Santosh asked her to purchase a little land and gave her sixty thousand rupees. A week before only, the constable has reportedly demanded his money back to which the woman agreed. Their relationship turned sour since then, she added.
