Kakinada: The excise police on Thursday have seized a huge quantity of ganja near Addateegala forest area in East Godavari district. Two persons have been detained by the police in this concern. Also, the vehicle in which the ganja was transported has also been got hold of. A case has been registered by the excise police. According to the excise police ganja worth 20L has been seized in this case.

Also, on early Thursday an auto rickshaw collided head-on with a tipper lorry near Kajuluru in East Godavari district. In this accident two people travelling by the auto rickshaw were died, while two other got severely injured. The pedestrians on the road reacted immediately and informed the police. The police rushed the spot without delay.
According to the police, of the two deceased persons, one died on the spot while the other died on way to the hospital. The injured people have been treated at a local hospital. The tipper lorry driver has been arrested by the police after registering a case.
