Lagadapati's pepper spray episode inspires thieves

Pepper spray has been introduced in the market for the use of self protection of the women from the crime against women. Nevertheless, the same was not very popular among the masses. Since the time it was used by Lagadapati in Lok Sabha, even a common man has come to know about the use of the Pepper Spray. It was a good thing that Lagadapati’s Pepper Spray grabbed the attention of the public and made women aware of self securing measures.

However, it is not only the women who got awareness about the use of Pepper Spray, but also the robbers. In a most interesting episode that happened at Alwal in Secunderabad on Saturday, a thief named Bhaskar Sharma hailing from Vijayawada (coincidentally from the same constituency that was represented by Lagadapati) went for theft in a house has allegedly used the Pepper Spray.

Getting back into the details of this crime, the accused Bhaskar Sharma has knocked the door of a house and introduced himself as a friend of her husband and acted as if he spoke to him and later asking him to wait at his residence.

Listening to the conversation, she asked him to come into the home and wait for her husband. Later, after sometime, the woman tried to call her husband. Meanwhile, the man protested her and used pepper spray to steal locket and chain from her neck after its use. Listening to her screams one of her neighbour came there and in turn alerted her son. Tactfully, the accused has changed over into another shirt and managed as if it was not him who involved in the theft. But, due to the strong insisting of the live witnesses, he admitted his crime.
