Charminar turns suicide spot for youth

Hyderabad: Late on Monday, sensationally a youth attempted suicide in front of Charminar in Hyderabad. He sustained 54% burns and has been getting treatment at a hospital in old city of Hyderabad. He said the people who have indebted to him are not repaying the dues thereby posing a relentless torture to him.

Mohd Abdul Latif, belonging to old city in Hyderabad has been involved in share market business. Recently, he incurred heavy losses and has been pressed heavily by the clients. Also, during this episode, he consulted a criminal lawyer with whom all his documents pertaining to his home, passport, cheque book and various other documents have been held.

According to Latif, the criminal lawyer has been blackmailing him for sometime. Finding no other better option, allegedly Latif attempted suicide by self immolation near Charminar on Monday evening. Latif, in his statement made it a mention that the lawyer was the main culprit who tortured him and demanded for an immediate action against him.
