Pellakuru: Late on Sunday, in between CS pet and Rajupalem villages of Pellakuru mandal in Nellore district, a local TDP leader stopped vehicles filled with sarees. He informed the police of the very matter. Nevertheless, before the arrival of the police, few youth reached the spot and lifted the gunny bags of filled with sarees from the vehicles. The local people expressed anguish over the police for arriving late at the spot. The Sub Inspectors of the Police of Naidupet and Pellakuru – Anjaneya Reddy and Siva Shankar reached the spot of incident and sent away the troublemakers.
Sarubujjili: Early on Monday, at Palavalasa village of Sarubujjili mandal in Srikakulam district, Adivarapu Govinda Rao killed his wife Saraswathi and 1yr old daughter Tavali by stabbing them to death. According to sources, Govinda Rao suspects his wife of an illicit relationship with someone. The same ultimately led for the killing of his wife and daughter. Later, he surrendered himself before the police at Sarubujjili police station.
Nalgonda: Durga Reddy, a head constable at Tripuraram police station, who was on election duty, attempted rape on a woman late on Sunday night. This incident took place at Duggepalli of Tripuraram mandal in Nalgonda district. The accused was on patrolling duty at Duggepalli in view of the ZPTC/MPTC elections. He has been presently posted at Tripuraram police station. Along with him, the accused took Saidulu, an auto driver, for the patrolling duty. After completing the duty, in the night on Sunday, the duo had their lunch at Saidulu’s home and was taking rest. In the midnight, Durga Reddy, the head constable, attempted rape on the wife of Saidulu. As she yelled, he fled away from their home. Later, she made a complaint at the police station of the very matter, accompanied by her husband and local leaders. Durga Reddy has been detained by the police and they have been investigating the matter.
Sangareddy: Early on Monday, a man killed his two children while he himself committed suicide at Pedda Cheruvu of Sangareddy mandal. The deceased have been identified as Sathish Kumar (40), Lokesh (12) and Archna (10). It is suspected that they took this extreme step bowing to the pressure of a monetary masticate.
