Guntur: Rs 18L Seized From Car. On Thursday, the police have carried out impulsive checks on the highway at Seethanagar of Tadepalli Mandal in Guntur district, in view of the orders of Election Commission.
Hyderabad: On Thursday, the police have carried out impulsive checks on the highway at Seethanagar of Tadepalli Mandal in Guntur district, in view of the orders of Election Commission. The police have found illegal possession of Rs.18L from a person. The amount was hidden inside a car. The same has been seized apart from detaining the individual.
It is worth mentioning here that Banwar Lal, the Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, said that so far they have seized Rs 108cr during their checking carried out in view of the looming elections. He addressed the media and said that they have also seized 69.5kg gold, 300kg silver apart from 4.10L litres liquor. Further, he said that EC would ensure that franchising of the votes should be more than 90% this time.
