Vijayawada: Liquor Seized From RTC Bus. A huge quantity of liquor was found hidden in an RTC bus at Cherlapalli in Krishna district. The officials have seized the liquor from a bus which was on its way from Vijayawada to Avanigadda early on Saturday.
Vijayawada: A huge quantity of liquor was found hidden in an RTC bus at Cherlapalli in Krishna district. The officials have seized the liquor from a bus which was on its way from Vijayawada to Avanigadda early on Saturday. Upon receiving authenticated message regarding the illegal transportation of liquor, the police have carried out a snap check and seized as many as 92 bottles from the bus. Both the driver and conductor of the bus have been held for interrogation. More details are awaited.
Early this week Banwar Lal, the Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, said that so far they have seized Rs 108cr during their checking carried out in view of the looming elections. He addressed the media and said that they have also seized 69.5kg gold, 300kg silver apart from 4.10L litres liquor. Further, so many incidents of liquor, cash and jewellery have been registered in this week.
