Hyderabad: On Tuesday, a day before the elections in Seemandhra, one of the YSR Congress Party activists was arrested by the police at Perapuram village in Pusapatirega mandal in Vijayanagaram district. The accused has been identified as Satvada Srinu. Apart from arresting the individual, the police have also seized Rs 9,700 from him.

As the polling in Seemandhra is scheduled for Wednesday, Tuesday turns to be very crucial for all the political parties. Many means to allure the voters have been opted on the decisive day so as to get the victory in the portentous elections. Despite the fact that the election Commission had adopted so many measures to control the flow of money, liquor and various other things into the elections, an amount of unaccounted Rs 131 cr has been seized alone in Andhra Pradesh till May 2, based on an official report of National Election Commission. Almost 1cr lts of liquor has also been seized.

By now, Andhra Pradesh has accounted for almost 50% share in the total seizing done around the country. The last minutes seizing may account for more share of Andhra Pradesh, as the polling for 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra is scheduled on Wednesday.
