Anantapur: The robbers have created a commotion in Padmavathi Express that shuttles between Tirupati and Secunderabad stations. As soon as the train reached Gutti station in Anantapur district, the robbers pulled the chain to stop the train and to stick up. They have robbed gold ornaments of the passengers in S-6, S-7, S-8 and S-9 bogies, according to sources.

In a similar way the robbers have once again robbed the Chennai-Secunderabad Express. They robbed the gold ornaments of a woman near Ponnur railway station in Guntur district and fled away. This was the third such robbery happening in last one week time in the same train.
It is worth recollecting that the Chennai-Secunderabad Express has been robbed by the thieves even on the previous day. The miscreants have snatched necklaces from as many as 15 women. This incident has taken place at Piduguralla in Guntur district. The victims have made a complaint with the GRP police station in Secunderabad. Nowadays, the robbery in the trains has been increasing.
