Warangal: Early on Monday, at Kajipet Railway Station, a passenger of the Intercity Express was robbed. The thieves have lifted the suitcase pertaining to a passenger. The passenger said that 320gm gold was kept in the suitcase, in his complaint lodged with the police. The train was on its way from Secunderabad to Sirpur Kaghaz Nagar. More details are awaited.

Nowadays, the train robberies have been intensified. It is worth recollecting that on last Wednesday, the thieves have made an attempt to rob the Gowthami Express, while the train was on its way to Secunderabad from Kakinada. After the train crossed the Kondapalli station, few reprobates (approximately 10 in number) have pulled the chain to stop the train. They frightened the passengers who were allocated seats in S-1, S-2 and S-8 bogies with weapons. They allegedly tried to rob gold and money from the passengers. Nevertheless, the passengers resisted the act. They created a nuisance for some time and at last snatched a 20gm gold chain from a passenger named Revathi situated in S-8 bogie. The thieves ran away before the RPF police have reached the spot.
