Man Tries To Cheat Jeweller In The Name Of MLA, Arrested. Afzalgunz Police has arrested an individual who tried to cheat a jewellery shop owner in the name of a sitting-in MLA.
Hyderabad: Afzalgunz Police has arrested an individual who tried to cheat a jewellery shop owner in the name of a sitting-in MLA. According to the police, Mundrai Krishna (42), a resident of Sultan Shahi, has become addicted to various ill habits. He on Thursday night made a call to Ramachadraiah alias Ramu, the owner of Ramu Jewellers at Siddiamber Bazar at around 8.45 p.m. on Thursday night and demanded for Rs 1L towards the organising of a meeting stating himself as the Goshamal MLA.
Just after a few minutes, he again made a call in the name of PA to the MLA and warned him of dire consequences, if the said amount was not given by Friday. He left a mobile number 8686183811 with the jeweller mention that number as the personal number of ibid MLA.
The jeweller got suspicious over the very matter and made a complaint with the Afzalgunj police early on Friday. The police have investigated the case based on the mobile number left with the jeweller and arrested the accused. Few cases have already been registered against the accused at Mughalpura, Shahinajgunj, Musheerbad and Nampally police stations, added the police sources.
