Chittoor: Mother kills female child

Hyderabad: In a heinous incident that happened at Perumallapalli of Tirupathi rural mandal in Chittoor district, a mother allegedly killed her own daughter by dousing her in the water tank. This incident has locally created a sensation. A 10 days old neonate was killed by her own mother for being the female child.

The police who was informed of this incident have rushed the spot of the incident and have been interrogating the accused. Nevertheless, the police maintain secrecy of the matter. It is learnt that the police have been investigating the matter whether the reason behind killing the child has any relationship with the child being a female or otherwise. More details are awaited.
