Dowry Harassment Drives Woman to Suicide. A 22-year-old woman died after consuming poison at her residence in Chintal Basti area of Saifabad here. According to Saifabad police, deceased S Rajeshwari (22), a housewife and wife of Saikumar, had allegedly consumed some substance.
Hyderabad: A 22-year-old woman died after consuming poison at her residence in Chintal Basti area of Saifabad here. According to Saifabad police, deceased S Rajeshwari (22), a housewife and wife of Saikumar, had allegedly consumed some substance, yet to be ascertained, at her residence on July 10. She was immediately rushed to Osmania Hospital for treatment. While undergoing treatment she died on Friday night. Police said that the couple was married three years ago.
For the last few months, Saikumar harassed his wife mentally and physically for additional dowry. Allegedly, fed up with the harassment Rajeshwari took the extreme step. Saifabad Police registered a case of harassment under section 304 B against Saikumar.
