Three held for murdering auto-driver
Three held for murdering auto-driver, Chilkalguda police on Sunday arrested three residents of Chilkalguda on the charge of murdering Md Basheer alias Fareed, 24, a part-time auto driver and dumping his body in front of Shivananda Ashram at Padmarao Nagar on July 18.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Shaik Amer, 21, Md Salman Khan, 21, and Shaik Afzal Shareef, 31, all residents of Chilkalguda, near Arts College Railway Station on Sunday around 1 pm. "Basheer used to harass his friends, Amer, Salman and Afzal money. They would frequently consume alcohol at weekends. Basheer, who used to pick pocket and steal valuables from people, would return home empty-handed sometimes. On those occasions, he asked for money from his friends to meet his basic requirements. This had been going on for quite a long time. His friends who got irritated with his nagging behaviour decided to eliminate him.
On July 18, they took Basheer to Necklace Road and made him consume alcohol until he was stoned. The culprits then took him to a secluded place and killed him mercilessly. They allegedly dumped the body near Shivananda Ashram in Padmarao Nagar area and fled," DCP (N) R Jayalakshmi said.
