Burglary gang busted; three arrested
Hyderabad: Burglary gang busted; three arrested, Three persons wanted in separate cases for allegedly indulging in theft and chain-snatching cases were arrested on Saturday.
Hyderabad: Three persons wanted in separate cases for allegedly indulging in theft and chain-snatching cases were arrested on Saturday. Police recovered 300 gm of gold ornaments and a motorbike all worth Rs 10 lakh from their possession.
“With the arrest of notorious house breaking offenders, Muvva Abhilash, 21, of Chandanagar, Rajula Veera Vamshi Naidu, 26, of Trimulgherry and Shakeer Khan, 22, a native of Uttar Pradesh, police has detected two cases of house breaking and 12 cases of chain-snatching,” Additional DCP (Crimes) G Janaki Sharmila said.
The accused, all ex-convicts, were indulged in two house breaking offences at Narsapur Town in Medak district and 12 cases of chain-snatching at KPHB, Chandanagar, Kushaiguda, Malkajgiri and Nacharam police limits, the senior police officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, the trio was nabbed by a special team formed under the guidance of ACP CCS, K Ram Kumar. On interrogation, the accused confessed to have committed the offences.
