Man arrested for sending lewd SMSes, In an act of revenge, a 33-year-old man has posted objectionable content against his woman colleague on \'Whatsapp\' after she allegedly spurned his advances and refused a marriage proposal from him. Kiran Kuturu, an employee of Genpact, residing at Boduppal, was arrested on Friday on charges of sending obscene, vulgar and threatening mails.
Hyderabad: In an act of revenge, a 33-year-old man has posted objectionable content against his woman colleague on 'Whatsapp' after she allegedly spurned his advances and refused a marriage proposal from him. Kiran Kuturu, an employee of Genpact, residing at Boduppal, was arrested on Friday on charges of sending obscene, vulgar and threatening mails.
Basing on the complaint made by the victim, Central Crime Station (CCS) police registered a case and took up the investigation. During probe, it was found that through a common friend, Kiran came in contact with the woman and developed friendship.
Eventually, the relationship turned sour when she came to know that Kiran was already married and having a child. With this, the accused wanted to exact revenge by sending obscene mails and SMSs, DCP, Detective Department, G Pala Raju said. Police team got the IP address with the help of technical experts and arrested Kiran Friday. Kiran circulated the images among friends and to the victim's sister also. He was arrested under the IT Act for sending offensive and threatening messages by means of a computer resource, said Raju.
