Anantapur: A woman of Kottalapalli in Bukkarayasamudram mandal of Anantapur district was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in the early hours of Monday.
According to the police, Surendra and Nagendra of Rajivnagar resorted to gang-rape and tried to burn the body of the victim, identified as Fakrunidi.
The duo was caught by the patrolling police party while carrying the body on a two-wheeler. They spilled the beans when the police questioned them. Investigation is on.
