Hyderabad: Three labourers died and two fell seriously ill after they accidentally inhaled the toxic vapours, while cleaning an oil storage tank of Govardhan Oil Industries at Gaganpahad, Shamshabad on Saturday evening.

According to RGIA police, the deceased were identified as Madhav, 27 Jhadav, 30, both bothers and Suresh, 27 all hailing from Odisha. While the other two victims, Vizat and Sanjay, were taken to a private hospital and are said to be in serious condition. All the five, who were cleaning the oil tank failed to take any precautions and inhaled the toxic vapours coming out of it.

Police booked a case against the owner of factory, Govardhan, under sections 304 A and 337. “We booked the case against the management and investigating the case,” said T Sudhakar, Inspector, RGIA.
