Mustafa's death: SIT to submit report soon
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the alleged killing of 11-year-old Shaik Mustafa at Mehdipatnam Garrison 10 days ago, is likely to submit its report in a couple of days.
Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the alleged killing of 11-year-old Shaik Mustafa at Mehdipatnam Garrison 10 days ago, is likely to submit its report in a couple of days.
The team, headed by DCP (East) Shahnawaz Qasim, was formed on October 13 to undertake a thorough investigation and establish the circumstances leading to the death of the boy, and the people responsible for the same. The child, a student of a local madrasa and a resident of Siddiqui Nagar, was found with burns at the Garrison area on October 8. He succumbed to his injuries the next day while undergoing treatment at DRDO Apollo Hospital.
“Since the boy, after he suffered 92 per cent burn injuries, apparently kept on telling that two military personnel set him on fire, the family members are accusing the army men of being involved,” police said.
