Recently Security has been tightened at the Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park in Banjara Hills following information that sandalwood trees might be targeted by smugglers or thieves.

According to the officials, there are more than 200 sandalwood trees in the interiors of the 400 acre forest land. Recently, upon inspecting a few sandalwood trees it was found that some bore marks hinting at possible scraping of these trees to check its quality,
