2 Maoists held
The local police here on Saturday arrested two Maoist Area Committee Members involved in murder of innocent tribal Gemmeli Sanjeeva Rao in the agency on October 19.
Chintapalli (Visakha agency): The local police here on Saturday arrested two Maoist Area Committee Members involved in murder of innocent tribal Gemmeli Sanjeeva Rao in the agency on October 19. Talking to reporters here on Saturday after presenting the two accused before the media, DSP E G Ashok Kumar said the two accused were Gabilingi Appa Rao of Kudumula hamlet and CPI Maoist Balapam Panchayat Area Committee Member.
The DSP said the duo had not only helped the CPI- Maoists in the murder of the innocent tribal Sanjeeva Rao and there were also earlier involved in many anti-social activities. Gabilingi Appa Rao had been released on bail recently and again started helping the Maoists. The duo were involved in the famine raids at Balapam, Cheekatimamidi, Mangalampalem, Devarapalli, Kumkumpudi and Pedavalasa villages earlier and in blasting the BSNL Tower at Lambasingi, besides the APFDC warehouse and its machinery.
