4 dead, 6 injured in road mishap

Nellore: Four persons, including a child and an old woman, died in a road accident at Kaligiri under Peddapadu mandal in Nellore district on Wednesday. The accident happened when a group of devotees were returning to their point of origin after participating in “Rottela panduga’ here. The vehicle in which the devotees were travelling collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw. The dead were identified as Jeriabi (60), belonging to Yedlapadu village in Prakasam district, her grandson Md Nasib (one-and-half-year), Vinod (21), who hailed from Siddhanakonduru mandal and driver Nagisetti Srinivasulu. Six more persons were injured in the accident. They were admitted to Kavali Area Hospital.
