Youth murdered, body burnt

Guntur: A youth was allegedly murdered and his body burnt near the Mangalagiri old bus-stand on local highway early on Monday. The alleged killers used old tyres to burn the body near a dustbin, close to a transformer.

Noticing the flames, initially local residents thought that someone had lit a fire to take protection from cold weather. They informed the police after experiencing a pungent smell and seeing body bones.

The Mangalagiri DSP visited the spot.
