Pregnant woman commits suicide, A 26-year-old pregnant woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her residence under Chilkalguda police station limits on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: A 26-year-old pregnant woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her residence under Chilkalguda police station limits on Tuesday. The deceased Nagalakshmi, a resident of Padmaraonagar, was living with her husband, G Kishore. Kishore married Nagalakshmi, a native of Guntur district, a couple of years ago. However, she was alone on Tuesday as the family members were out. When they returned, they were shocked to learn that Nagalakshmi had ended her life.
Police said there was no death note. Family sources told the police that Kishore suspected Nagalakshmi's character and started ‘torturing’ her ever since she got pregnant and this could have led to take the extreme step. The couple used to quarrel over this issue frequently. However, police are yet to ascertain it. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
