5 kidnappers of children held

Warangal: Hanamkonda police on Tuesday arrested a gang of five kidnappers for allegedly abducting children below three years of age.

Shoban Kumar, DSP, on Tuesday produced the accused before the media---Gangulu, Paramdhamulu, Mahipal and Chinnaiah (Karimnagar district) and Ashok of Bhadrachalam. Four children who were in their custody were freed by the police. One was handed over to parents. Three were handed over to the District Child Welfare Committee.

The police carried out the probe following the kidnap of a child in Hanamkonda on October 1. They caught the gang and found the child and three others in their custody. Identity of the three children was yet to be ascertained.
