Police seize black jaggery worth 14 lakh

The police conducted surprise raids on three shops in the town on Thursday and seized illegally stored black jaggery worth Rs 14 lakh. During the raids led by Circle Inspector John Diwakar, the police seized about 14 tonnes of black jaggery and five quintals of alum which is used to brew illicit liquor.
