Guwahati: Poachers killed three one horned rhinos in Assam’s Kaziranga and Orang National Park in past 24 hours and fled with horns, officials said. After two rhinos poached in Kaziranga and Orang, poachers killed another rhino in Kaziranga on Thursday.
The incident took place at Srilanka Tapu area under Northern range in the national park. “Forest guards found a dehorned bullet injuries rhino carcass inside the park,” a top official of the park said. On Wednesday, poachers killed two rhinos in Kaziranga and Orang National Park and managed to flee with horns.
