Hyderabad: Two women from Hyderabad were allegedly confined and forced into prostitution in Abu Dhabi after being promised jobs there by two city-based agents. Both women, in their 30s, narrated their ordeal to police here following which Chandrayangutta Police booked a case of extortion, cheating and attempt for immoral trafficking in this regard, a senior police officer said.

Fatima Begum and Imitiaz both residents of Salala Barkas, were booked on a complaint filed by Mumtaz Begum, 32, and Hasina Begum, 29, both sisters and residents of Kothapet, who alleged that they had been lured into going to Abu Dhabi and assured of jobs with lucrative salary, but were sexually exploited.

The two accused, it is alleged, demanded Rs 50,000 from the victims with the assurance that they would arrange for servant visas to go to the UAE.

The victims were sent to Abu Dhabi on November 19 and made to work as maid servants and were later sexually exploited. "Both the sisters were subjected to cruelty but they managed to return home after 25 days. However, the accused refused to return their money," additional inspector S Raghavendra said adding that a case has registered under Section 420 (Cheating) and 384 (Extortion) of the IPC.
