Srinager: Panic gripped Aungmatipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district when locals recovered the dead body of a 4th standard student. Police sources told that the 10 years old student had apparently died due to a head injury. “It seems someone has hit his head with a heavy stone,” police said.

Station House Officer Mattan Anantnag identified the deceased student as Abdul Rouf Naik son of Muhammad Shafi a resident of Nagam Kokarnag. “Rouf along with his family had arrived at Aungmatipora to inquire about the health of his aunt on Wednesday. He had gone to a nearby playfield along with the children of the locality.

Family members along with locals searched for him after he did not return to home and unfortunately found he dead body at a Nursery,” the police officer said adding that an FIR vide number 104/2014 under section 302 has been registered and investigation has been taken up to crack the case. In another case a 20-year-old woman who was missing since November 26 this year was found murdered at Nowgam area in ourtskirt’s of Srinagar city Thursday evening. A police official told that the body of a girl (name with held) of Wanpora Pulwama was recovered from Khanday colony, Nowgam.

He said that it would be premature to say whether or not she has been sexually assaulted and it would be known only once autopsy report is received. He said that a suspected Irshad Ahmad Mantoo (driver) of Chadoora has been arrested and a case FIR no. 272/2014, 363 RPC has been registered in police station Kakpora. With the arrest of Irshad police claimed to have worked out blind murder case. Inputs CNS/GNS.
