20 schoolchildren injured as bus turns turtle

Hyderabad: At least 20 schoolchildren were injured, including three seriously, when the bus they were travelling turned turtle on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Shamshabad during Friday evening. About 35 students and five school staffers of Vidyanikethan School, Patancheru were returning after finishing the picnic programme at Mount Opera near Ramoji Film City during the day. The outdated school bus, which was speeding on the ORR, suddenly had a tyre burst at Pedda Golconda.
The driver failed to control and the bus turned turtle causing injuries to the students, who were immediately shifted to a Trident hospital in Shamshabad for treatment.
