The Langar Houz police on Friday have claimed to have cracked the burglary case where gold ornaments, diamonds, gemstones and cash were taken away from the house of the businessman, Sujit Agarwal, 44, with the arrest of two persons. Police had registered a burglary case on Thursday.

Burglars worked as servants at the owner’s house in the past

Hyderabad: The Langar Houz police on Friday have claimed to have cracked the burglary case where gold ornaments, diamonds, gemstones and cash were taken away from the house of the businessman, Sujit Agarwal, 44, with the arrest of two persons. Police had registered a burglary case on Thursday. In the complaint, Sujit mentioned that he along with his family members went to their friend’s place at Banjara Hills for New Year celebrations on Wednesday night and when they returned home early morning the next day, they found the valuables missing from the almirah.

Addressing the media persons on Friday, DCP (W) A Venkateswara Rao said, “We have cracked the case within 24 hours with the arrest of Anmol Mukya, 27 and Kishan Mukya, 19, both native of Dharbhanga of Bihar State and have been residing in Banjara Hills area for quite some time and worked at Sujit's house as servants in the past.”

Rao said that three teams were formed to investigate the case. During investigations, the team led by Additional inspector G Kishan detained Anmol who later revealed the name of Kishan. Acting on a tip-off, they were apprehended at Uday Nagar in Banjara Hills area on Friday around 5 am. “During interrogation they confessed that they broke open the window grills and committed the theft with ease,” the DCP added.
